Datalogics is looking forward to PDF Day Washington DC coming up on Monday, January 29th, and we are excited to be be sponsoring as well as speaking at the event. With PDF celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2018, we continue to see more and more interest in PDF. After the excitement of celebrating our own 50th anniversary in 2017, we’re keenly aware of the value of experience. PDF has grown and changed significantly in its 25 years, both to keep up with user expectations as well as to bring new and fresh visions for what businesses and users can accomplish with a document. While it was common in 1993 to think of a “digital document” as a paper replacement, today it’s widely accepted that digital documents enable much greater and more interactive communication than paper documents alone. The capabilities and advantages inherent in using PDF for digital documents are receiving more attention than ever.
The PDF Association PDF Day DC event already has the most people signed up to attend and learn about PDF than any other PDF Day. With two tracks of educational sessions, PDF Day DC is a great chance to learn something new about the world’s leading digital document format.
I’ll be giving an introduction to archiving with PDF, where I’ll talk about how to best archive information with PDF, and provide some examples of organizations using PDF for long-term, reliable information preservation. Datalogics will also have Vel Genov, our Senior Product Manager for PDF technologies, giving an introduction to Datalogics and the PDF tools and technologies we offer; as well as Leonard Ho, our Product Marketing Manager for our PDF technologies. We encourage you to stop by and say hello, bring your PDF questions, or ask us how we can help you with your digital document challenges.
Hope to see you there!
