READynamic™ with Google Single Sign-On: Easily Access Content with OAuth2

As technology solutions continue to evolve, people are relying more and more on connected devices and applications to overcome obstacles big and small. Application connectivity allows us to integrate and navigate through separate experiences with ease, and Datalogics signature EdTech business and classroom solution, READynamic, is no exception. READynamic’s new Google single sign-on integration securely delivers the READynamic content and flexibility you love with the ease of logging into your Google account.

Security is more than just safety from theft or harm. In a broader context, security is the freedom to move forward with confidence. READynamic already harnesses the power of Sony DADC URMS, allowing administrators to restrict content – safety from theft. READynamic now supports customers with Google’s single sign-on services, embracing the freedom to navigate between connected applications with confidence.

Remembering and applying numerous technology aliases is cumbersome and puts barriers between customers and the content they need. Single sign-on (SSO) alleviates this pain by allowing a user to sign on to one service with a single identity. SSO then uses that identity to navigate to other connected applications, as the user, without the need of an additional login screen, usernames, and passwords per application or service. SSO is the secret handshake that makes the freedom to securely navigate between applications under one identity possible.

READynamic with Google SSO brings this freedom to customers by using OAuth2 in partnership with Google. OAuth2 (a standard authorization protocol) is the gatekeeper that allows an authenticated Google user to access READynamic without additional credential verification. Essentially, when Google SSO users want to log into their READynamic accounts, they’re redirected to Google’s sign-on screen. Google authenticates the users individually and logs them in to their READynamic accounts. Additionally, the OAuth2 protocol encrypts user information before it passes between Google and READynamic, so access to READynamic can be granted without exposing personal passwords.

Using READynamic with Google single sign-on offers our customers a new integration opportunity with direct access to READynamic content from Google without sacrificing security integrity. Google vouches for its customers individually and allows them to retain their identities as they navigate to their connected READynamic content thanks to OAuth2 encryption. If you can remember your Google login, you can connect to READynamic. So, regardless of your access points and device preferences, count on READynamic with Google SSO to keep you connected to the content you need with the security you depend on.
